Privacy Policy

Your data stays on your device.

Last updated: July 20th, 2026

Bible Lock is designed so your spiritual journey stays on your device. We do not run user accounts or backend servers that store your prayers, journal entries, Bible bookmarks, reading progress, blocked-app choices, or onboarding personalization answers. That information is saved locally on your phone or tablet by the app itself.

If you delete the app, local data may be removed by your device operating system.

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and by Google through Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple and Google may process purchase, subscription, and billing data under their own privacy policies.

Website analytics

This website may use privacy-conscious analytics such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand page visits, download button clicks, and how visitors find the site. These tools do not receive prayer text, journal entries, Bible reading activity, or other devotional content from the app.

App performance & attribution

To understand whether Bible Lock reaches people who benefit from it, the app may use privacy-conscious attribution and analytics technologies. These measure high-level events such as onboarding completed, trial started, or subscription purchased — never prayer text, journal entries, or your onboarding answers.

On iPhone and iPad, Bible Lock may show Apple's "Allow Tracking" prompt (App Tracking Transparency). If you tap Allow, device identifiers, app usage, and purchase events may be shared with Meta (Facebook) for advertising measurement — for example, to understand whether our outreach helped you find the app. We do not show ads inside Bible Lock.

Devotional content and attribution are separate by design: your spiritual activity remains on your device; measurement helps us improve outreach and app performance. Where required by law, we disclose that Meta (Facebook) provides attribution services for our mobile apps. Meta may receive standard device and app interaction signals under Meta's Privacy Policy. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or limit ad tracking on Android in Settings → Google → Ads.

What stays on your device

Prayers, journal entries, streaks, Bible bookmarks, reading position and progress, Faith Journey stats, blocked apps, and personalization from onboarding are processed and stored locally. Bible Lock does not upload this devotional information to our servers because we do not operate services that store it.

iOS permissions

On iPhone and iPad, Bible Lock uses Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time APIs to shield the apps you choose and to show the sacred pause when you open them. Optional notifications may remind you to return to Bible Lock after tapping a shield. The microphone is used only for Premium voice notes in the journal, if you choose to record one.

Android permissions

On Android, Bible Lock uses Accessibility to detect when you open a guarded app, display-over-other-apps for the prayer screen, and usage access for cooldown timing. We do not read messages, keystrokes, or screen content.

Children's Privacy

Bible Lock (published under Christian Prayer Lock) is rated for ages 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and the app is designed without user accounts or server-side personal data storage. If you believe personal information was provided in error, contact us and we will help resolve it promptly.
